EVERFI

I was introduced to EVERFI through Donors Choose, where we participated in The Compassion Project.  It's a wonderful digital resource for educators, parents, and students.  Below is more information for anyone interested.

Parents,
EVERFI has interactive digital game-based programs, filled with lessons on the skills students need for life — skills in social-emotional learning, health and wellness, financial capability, and career readiness —all of which students can access from home. These resources are always available at no cost to our schools. Instructions for students to get started are below
STEP 1: Go to https://everfi.com/k-12/parent-remote-learning/, click "Get Access" then “Find Your School and Register”. Search for California then your child's school.
STEP 2: Click “Next” and fill in the fields. Students will be asked to create a username & password (write this down!).
Once their login is created, students will have access to all courses for their grade band (Elementary, Middle & High).

Anxiety

The Counseling Teacher has a wonderful blog post about "How to Relieve Anxiety During Times of Uncertainty."  I've seen her image below floating around social media recently and I agree with others that it's a wonderful visual tool to share at this time.

Boom Learning

I've jumped on the boom cards bandwagon and created an account.  I think I may have one boom card so far that I've personally made.  I'll try to get some better cards up there soon, but if you're interested HERE is a link.  I'm excited to learn more!

Super Simple Songs

Super Simple Songs are super simple and super cute!  WARNING... these songs may get stuck in your head.
HERE is the YouTube link as well.

Communication Boards for Pre-K Rocks

We are trying to get some communication boards that can be paired with the videos on Pre-K Rocks.  More will be added shortly.  Some ideas on how to utilize the boards is opening them on a tablet or computer, so the student can point to the pictures to request the desired videos.  Additionally, the slides can be printed if needed.
Click HERE to be taken to the slides.

Pre-K the New Way

My awesome coworker, Mr. Eli has created a blog to stay connected with his students and parents at this time.  He is such a wonderful teacher and knows his way around technology... Google Slides, etc.  His blog will be such a great resource for those needing Pre-K supports during this time.
Check out Pre-K the New Way HERE
